Too much and not enough
So much has happened in my life over the last two months. Some bad, but so much more good. Yes, I would love to share it all with you, but I can't right now. I have something that I would rather write about.
Warning for those reading...If you didn't watch Grey's last night...Don't read anymore until you watch....
So hopefully you have watched the show. If you haven't, go do it now. If you have never watched the show...Seriously, what are you waiting for? The writing is amazing, the acting even better, the character development awesome, the feeling of family and friendship unsurpassed.
So last week I watched and thought Meridith is in the water, huh. Well that is ok because Derek will save her. Derek did save her, well he got her body but did he get to her in time. My problem with the episode...if she isn't dead how will they bring her back and make us believe it. I'm not sure they can.
Let's move on to others...
George - way to go on finding that little boy. How fitting that Callie was fixing him up. He knew the mother would die if he told her the truth, so he lied and then raced like hell to find the boy.
Izzie - What a turn around her character made. I loved the part when she started the drill and the guy made that noise. I loved her reaction to him. She took control of the situation and really showed her strength. What a pivotal event for her.
Alex - Compassion...he showed compassion. I loved it!! Really have you seen Alex like that? Yes, with the death of Denny, but this was for people he had no connection. Way to go Alex. And the exchange between him and Addison...we all know that he would "Notice".
Sloan - I loved the way he helped the Chief and Izzie. He was serious and not cocky. Then the scene at the end. No words just action with Derek. Quietly sitting and squeezing his arm...could that have been any better.
Addison - alone and distant...yet at the end the feeling of love she has for Derek and Mer truly shows the kind of woman she is. How can you not love her?
Christina - Oh man...what will become of Christina? Her sister/best friend is fighting for her life. How will Christina be? What will she do? How will she react? Honestly, when I saw her reaction to the situation, I fell apart. I feel for her.
Derek - What can you say about McDreamy, Mer's Night in Shining Whatever...What a great actor...In his mind he thinks she did this to herself. He doesn't know the guy pushed her. He doesn't know. I just wanted to yell, "This is an accident!!! She didn't do this to herself!"
The little girl...symbolizing Mer and being lost. Does finding her mother at the end symbolize anything? Time will tell.
I love this show!! The writing is amazing and they take chances that other shows wouldn't. I loved seeing Denny and the bomb guy (Kyle Chandler) at the end. I am a faithful watcher of Friday Night Lights (it is right up there with Grey's for me) you might want to check it out. You do need to get used to the filming of it.
So that is my wrap up. I hope to find others that have blogged about it. I love hearing insight from others.

Here are my thoughts on how they can bring her back.
1. we don't know how long she was under, while it seemed like a long time it could have just been mins.
2. The water was very cold. A body in hypothermia can last a lot longer with out oxygen. (though medically this is more true for children)
3. While she did drown I was not given the impression that her heart had not stopped till the very end.
So I don't think it would be that off for her to be able to come back, I expect she will.
Pasted for Donna...
Penny, I think that because they had already given 3 doses of epi that her
heart had stopped and they were only getting activity on the monitor because
of the chest compressions. This comes from countless hours of watching ER
reruns, so it must be true! ;0P
She's definitely got a shot at a TV recovery because the water was cold and
her body temp was so low. Should prevent major brain damage.
To me the question is can Denny and Dylan talk her into caring enough to
come back. The woman just doesn't seem to have a lot of fight left in her.
What was she thinking in the bathtub? Was she wondering what it would feel
like to just give in?
Tracy, I hadn't really thought about Derek wondering if she tried to kill
herself. And the only way that will be resolved is if the lost little girl
who doesn't speak finds the courage to tell what happened. Kind of a good
Mer parallel eh?
Donna
Great wrap-up Tracy! I also enjoyed the symbolism in this story arc. It was so good to see Denny (McHeavenly?) and Dylan again. I'm looking forward to a new epi next week!
